I AM FINALLY HOME and have some free time! I OWE SO MANY COMMENTS AND RECS AND RECAPS, holy crap. But before that happens...

I have managed to snag some Portuguese-betas by virtue of being TOTALLY SHIT at Portuguese in public (<3 <3 <3 TY FOR THE HELP, GUYS, I WILL ATTACK YOU AGAIN SHORTLY FOR ASSISTANCE), but I need help in a different arena now ( Read more... )

So, uh, you don't know me but I love your fic very much. :D I haven't done any web-based programming in a long time, but I do a lot of other programming in my job, so I might be able to help answer your questions if you don't get any other volunteers.

OHMAN, I tried using translation websites, but they were clearly crap, as I was very charmingly approached by two different people with advice on how to suck less. :D You could maybe send either zanzando or yukimagik a message pleading for Portuguese assistance? They are both lovely and extremely helpful. :D

akhfjhsdg yes I will definitely send a pleading/hopefully not creepy message to one of those lovely people, thank you! SERIOUSLY THOUGH, I mean, I have enough of a small shaky grasp on other languages (what up, horrible amounts of Latin and Greek) to distrust translation websites (learned the hard way in French class when my babelfish-inspired answers were just shot down in flames of red pain rejection) but THAT IS NO HELP WHEN THERE NEEDS TO BE PORTUGUESE.

and ugh ugh code, I just don't get it at all. VAGUE ALLUSIONS ALL THE WAY, I am so cool.

I keep trying so hard to make my brain understand code, but as I secretly hate all computers and technology, actualfax languages are WAY easier for me to master.

...hm. Maybe when I get some time I will try to actually learn some Portuguese. I am usually okay with romance languages, I am just hella lazy right now. /o\

In other news, I would be totally okay with being your alter-ego! Though now I am making a D:< face at you for putting a Usual Suspects TSN AU into my brain. D:< I HAVE ENOUGH AUS TO BE GETTING ON WITH, THANKS.

Do you mean that your fic requires code, or that you need a code-knowledgable beta? XD

Either way, I am a professional web developer and can probably help in either fashion.

And if you ever DO want to write an interactive fic that would be awesome and I would be up for that too.

(Someone should write a TSN fic that aggressively asks you for your personal information or something. XD OR LIKE BUTTONS! ALL TSN FIC SHOULD HAVE A LIKE BUTTON! [But anonymous, of course.])

I can barely get "Hello World" out myself, but I hang around enough actual coders, and I know how to make HTML behave itself, and I am competent to write out specs. So I can be a backup technical beta if needed.
