Help with scarf pattern?

for something like that I think that a moss stitch would create a texture, not exactly the same, but pretty close to the crochet version. Since the stripes are at the end, you can easily swatch it out at the beginning. Without measurements and gauge, it would be hard to say how many rows of each color you should do, though.

I was thinking that as long as you count your rows of stripes, and do the same number for each stripe, they should match. The very end stripes would be the same as each other but smaller.
