Evelyn has never really been one to celebrate New Year's. To her, it's just another damn day that leads into another damn year. Woop-de-doo, the world turns, time passes, and everything still kind of sucks. Therefore, parties aren't really her thing.

However, when Kirk shows up at her apartment, she's definitely not opposed to a little bit of celebrating.

She opens the door, Tiberius at her heels (he's developed a habit of following her,) and smiles, her eyes immediately wandering to the bag he's holding. Heeeello liqour.

"Heya," she says, stepping back to allow him room to come in.

Kirk steps into the room with a smile. Evelyn’s one of the people he feels he can trust right now - even though he’s working for Lulu, and can’t tell her, he doesn’t think she’d mind if he did. As it is, she thinks he smoothed things over normally.

He pauses to nudge Tiberius with a foot in greeting, looking for a surface to set the alcohol down on. Spotting the table he sets the items in question down, and then turns to look at Evelyn.

“I figured if we were both going to avoid parties we could do it together and in style.”

"Sounds like a plan to me," Evelyn says, already wandering into the kitchen to grab a few glasses while Kirk's just now putting the alcohol down. Tiberius mewls at the nudging, rubbing his face against Kirk's leg, then trotting off to hop up onto the arm of the couch and curl up.

She returns from the kitchen and sets the two glasses down on the table before flopping down onto the couch. "Definitely a lot more appealing than being in a mass of drunken idiots that I don't know," she muses. "This way I'll only be with one drunken idiot, and I'll know him." Her tone is playful as she smiles up at him.

Kirk locates the first bottle of alcohol he’s found - yes, Evelyn is 18, underage for drinking, but he was doing worse at a much younger age than her - and chuckles as he reaches for the glasses. He’s not going to pour them just yet, but getting them ready for after small talk is done.

“I’ll have you know I actually get smarter the more I drink,” he tells her, pulling out a chair from the table and turning it around, sitting in it backwards.
