So Lulu's jogging to catch a bus home when she watches it whiz past her, going the opposite way. This happens more often than you might think, and it never gets less frustrating. So after stamping her heels on the concrete and calling the bus a dickface fuckass, Lulu clicks her way into a cafe to grab a taaall cup of coffee (and maybe a biscuit, she likes biscuits).
And there's Mads.
Right. The fuck. There.
Well this is just awesome.
Lulu turns around and, careful not to click her heels, tries to escape before he recognizes her...
And he didn't at first. As a matter of fact, he was going to let Lulu walk right out of the cafe. If he hadn't done a double take, she might have gotten away. But what the hell, he's not going to pass up such a perfect opportunity.
He tapped his fingers against the table and called out to Lulu. "Ms. Sparks, why not join me? Couldn't very well let you get away, now could I?"
Lulu grits her teeth, but when she turns around, she's all happy unicorns and rainbows. She says, "Hi! Di'n't see you there, sweetie," and takes a seat across from him. Lulu sets her purse on the table and flashes the most perfect, plastic of smiles. "How you been?"
He's glad she's happy. No really, he is. She can probably tell by the look on his face. He lifts his drink and tips it toward her before taking a sip from it. His smile is just as fake as hers.
"Busy. And you? It's nice to meet you face to face, I must say."
