Yay for presents!! :D

I didn't know you could clip a bird's wings without any permanent damage (I am not a bird owner, can you tell?) Do they grow back?

Yes, although we say "wing trim," it's just a trim of the flight feathers. They grow back. She'll be zooming through the air again in a month or so. With large parrots, it's essential to clip their wings for safety (as they need a wide turning radius, i.e., doesn't work well when not in the wild), but since mine is so little (and we live alone), there are arguments for and against clipping. I keep her full-flighted, but in case she were to get out at the "pet hotel," clipped wings would make her easier to catch. (At home, she is out of her cage whenever I'm home and will come when called. She only flies to get from the floor to my shoulder or back to her cage. Right now she's running around on the laptop trying to catch the cursor and remove the letters from the keys. :)
