I feel you completely about the soccer thing. When I first graduated from college I went through severe withdrawal until I found a coed indoor league that I could play in. Then when I hurt my knees it sucked all over again...but at least then there was a reason.
I also agree with you about the winning/playing thing. My team in the women's league I just started playing in sucks horribly...but I'm so happy just to be out there. People are talking about quitting and getting frustrated, and it just pisses me off.
As for coaching...it depends on what you're looking for. If you just want to have fun, I'd suggest coaching younger kids and just playing with them, teaching them fundamentals but not expecting too much. If you want to take it a little more seriously go with a little older kids...then you can show them not only fundamental skills but some strategy as well. The only thing is, the older the kids get the bigger their attitudes get as well :)

erg! yeah i so totally want to play on a team again... i started playing when i was like 4, and then played fall and spring seasons from there on out for premier leagues, and travel clubs, plus i spent years on the varsity highschool soccer team, so needless to say after highschool i was pretty burnt out on soccer, so i decided i didnt want to play for a while... and now, that i do want to play again, i can not find a league for me anywhere... lastnight i spent like 3 hours trying to find something on the internet about adult co-ed or womens soccer leagues or clubs, be it indoor or outdoor, there is nothing to be found in my area. the closest thing i found was for raleigh, nc and that is like 2 hours away. i dont think i would really mind driving say 45 minutes or so, just so i could play soccer, but dammit im not driving 2 hours a few times a week for games and practices, thats just tooo far ( ... )

hahaha do you think i could handle it? i think it would be fun, but then i think about how annoying kipp is sometimes, and im like "oh no what the fuck am i thinking? i cant handle 15 kids at one time." but then again i think i could do it... heh as long as i dont have kipp on my team. i need something to occupy my time anyways. i could be a good coach, i know it. heh. besides kids love me. :) im just not sure if i could handle being the authority. im not to sure if i could discipline them or like be stern with them, what do you think? i need all the opinions i can get. ...love to you.

see, i think of how kipp is, and that makes me say holy hell, but im sure you could handle it...kids are fun, you could have fun with it, i have faith in you. but the whole stern disipline thing would be hard for me, i hate being mean to little kids. and what if you made them cry or something. hmmm...i say go for it for sure, let me know how it goes!!!

haha oh ill let you know how it goes... lol... maybe you could come visit during season and come to the practices and a game or something. and see coach lacy at work. lol

man i just cant picture yelling at kids or like being stern in anyway at all. although anyone ive said that to, says i may think that now, but itll be a different story when i have 15 kids not listening to a word i say... so i still dont know though, hopefully ill be a "cool coach" instead of a "mean coach" or "idiot coach" haha i know i can do this. i just gotta decide what age group.

i miss you josh!! i need to find a goddamn job so that i can actually make it to georgia sometime. so we can ride around in my car listening to usher, and reminisce on all the great times. <3<3
