I'm glad RL has decided to ease up of you for a bit. It's good to hear that you thought this was worth the wait. :) Thanks.

Lately I've been making my way through the Gotham Central series, so the GCPD have really come alive for me - more than they were before - and I was eager to try and get a sense of that in this. I also think I've figured out where exactly this is all going, so hopefully the Malone angle will work out as intended. (It's an amazing ride writing this story; I've never had one before where the plot's ended up dictating itself!)

I'll try not to take so long putting up the next one - though uni term starts on Monday, so then again some delay is more than likely. :(

this is wonderful! i was grinning the whole time (just cuz i know bruce is out there and what a scare he's gonna give them later on). i liked how you pulled powers in for the takeover of wayne industries. and i swear that matches malone was running thru my head (bruce can't be batman at the moment so what other disguises has he been known to use...) and not a minute later you bring him up and i can't sit still for leaping around. i wonder how deep into the mob matches is going to go and if gordon is going to catch on quickly to who he really is or after matches has settled down more into his role. and sicking blake on bruce, genius, beatiful, that boy is in for a world of hurt (or bruce is going to have to put his acting skills to the test). can't wait for more!

Wow, thanks! Glad you're enjoying it so far.

I was trying to think of a villain for the piece that hadn't be overused of late (i.e. Hush, Strange, Joker, Quinn, Isley, etc.) and Powers presented himself to me as an appropriate choice. And I love Matches - I couldn't be dealing with the Mob and not bring him into it. Blake is in for a bit of a nasty shock, poor boy, but then that's half the fun of it.

Updates are a little sketchy as I'm at uni, which is the graveyard of all things Fandom, so I'll be doing my best to get stuff up in between assignments. Thanks again for reading and commenting!
