Part 1 of the monthly dialysis appointment today. The 'protocols' have changed recently, so apparently I'm getting iron treatments every month now. I'm hopeful this makes my fatigue issues better ( Read more... )

I discovered within the last year that iron makes a big difference!
Hormonal shifts can also cause you to need more zinc & iron.

The fruits & veggies also have a good impact. The fiber in them helps you feel fuller longer so you get more mileage out of them.

Iron is a Good Thing. :)

I've been getting iron intravenously off and on since I started dialysis. But they had to wait til my levels were way below where I was symptomatic. I was only getting it two or three times a year. With the new protocols, I'll be getting it a lot more often. :)
