When I see these folks protesting and "debunking" The Davinci Code," all I see is fools chasing & biting their own tails. If only they knew that some would have handed them their heads on a platter while Brown barely tickled their throats

Funny .... I see something perhaps quite different.

I see yet another non-issue masquerading as a controversy in order to keep the already sleepy populace entranced so they don't pay any attention to problems that might actually have any weight.

On the other hand, I think that things like DVC rather than challenge people's faith or notions about their world actually strengthens them. Brown's watered down melange of ideas may actually innoculate them to gnosticism and dis-incline them from investigating further the possibilities that they may not have been told the whole truth about the history of western culture.

Talk about the "blind" leading the blind. Heh.

In terms of the DVC mythos, I see Brown as secretly working for Opus Dei in this regard, creating pseudo controversy to obscure the actual controversies! For some, the more facts are in their face, the stronger their illusions become!

As Uncle Al said in the Book of Lies, "there is no use teaching those who need to be taught."
