yeah, i like animal collective a lot. they're included. and i wiki'd it and it basically is my favorite genre... i just have never heard of it!!

its just what happens when music magazines get tired of listing every band a new band sounds like so they just coin a term that (at least in their minds) encompasses all the bands they're thinking of. like how descriptive is "new weird america"? its just more convenient for people that way
