You know how they say, "A painting is never finished.  It just stops in an interesting place"?

Well, a Whofic story I think I got the idea for in 2007 is about done.  It's only 600 words, if that.

I guess I worked on it for a few hours every year or so.  And today I thought, "No, it's done.  Done enough."

I wrote a 2-line poem once. It was done. I had a very well received one of 4-5 lines and only abou 20 words. Sometimes short is just right. :) I look forward to reading it.

Indeed, sometimes short is just right. I tend to think my stories are only about half-done, missing some big further chunk, and then I realize, "No, this stands on its own."

I think it's a little under-developed, being so short, but it's "as done as it's going to be." Time to move on. And it's not like this is a college application or something.
