My poor kitty boy is REALLY going to hate going to the vet, after this!
At least he got his shots and we don't have to repeat this. (Although we will have to draw some blood later, for tests.) But I can only imagine what it felt like, to be held down, have alcohol splashed in your eye, and then salt water poured over your face.
My friend lolaraincoat sometimes talked about her cats' conviction that the vet office is a "terrible place, where they EAT cats!" Jack probably feels the same. Unlike my previous cat, Jack actually has a long-term memory.
Yeah: once it happened, there was nothing to be done but what they did: flush his eye with saline and put in medications. But what a trauma for him!
I miss him. He's often a quiet presence, but you can tell, sometimes, when he enters a room on "little cat feet". Just the tiniest little sound of kitty feet on carpet.
I am also pleased that they don't seem to have charged me (so far) for anything they used to treat him. I would be very tempted to protest: this was THEIR FAULT and shouldn't have happened.
