10 Words to describe your character: friendly, individualistic, humane, active, unprejudiced, loyal, impatient, temperamental, charms-addict, cheery
EXTENDED APPLICATION -- PLEASE DO AT LEAST A PARAGRAPH ON EACH OF THESE, UNLESS THEY ARE STATED TO BE OPTIONAL
Personality: Arisha is a genial person, friendly and pleasant, giving off a positive vibe to whoever crosses her way. She enjoys being in the company of people, preferably friends and family, but she's not one to shy away from getting to know new people in the group. She is loyal to her friends, and would help anyone (as long as they're nice) in any way she can. However, despite this exuberance, she does have moments where she prefers to be temporarily alone to 'rejuvenate her mind and body'. When she isn't present in the scene, that means she's having her 'alone time' and anyone who doesn't know better and goes looking for her and disturbing her would experience the temperamental side of her personality.
Arisha is an independent thinker, in the sense that she refuses to follow the crowd just because. She has her own convictions and firmly stands by them, although if presented with evidence to believe the contrary, she would be honest enough to change them. Either way, whether she changes her opinions or not, Arisha is open to all ideas and points of view, and would acknowledge the validity of the argument even if she wouldn't agree with it.
Arisha does well in most of her subjects (no one talk about Transfiguration though) and she's proud of achieving them both through having increased mental capacity and (mostly) through hardwork. This makes her exude a bit of an air of superiority sometimes, and she consciously tries to avoid this only with her close friends.
Strengths: Both magical and personality: Aside from serious hard work which she uses in most of her subjects, Arisha gets outstanding grades in Charms and Ancient Runes because she derives joy and excitement in figuring out how something works (Runes) and then applying that knowledge to practical use (Charms). She loves how spells is not just useful for defense and offense in dueling, but it can also make day-to-day life easier and less of a hassle.
One of Arisha's strengths is her what she considers 'inventive mind', as she continually thinks of ways on how charms can be modified or incorporated with some muggle ideas of merit to make them into something more useful or powerful or make it easier to perform and execute. She plans on working on some branch of Charms research after graduation and putting those ideas into good use.
Arisha's broad-mindedness makes her a good arbitrator in most aspects, but this, coupled with strong will to stand by her convictions only increases her personality's strength more. She is also genuine in her desire to help people, and is determined to make a difference in some way.
Arisha is also a natural when it comes to flying and loves getting on a broom and flying around during free time. She's quite good at it and with lots of practice, can improve to become a good Quidditch player. She has no interest in the sport though, other than being an involved spectator.
Weaknesses: Both magical and personality: Even if figuring how charms work and how to properly perform them is a great joy for her, it isn't the same with Transfiguration, which she is just bad at. It's the one thing that truly disappoints her, especially since she thinks she's quite the very smart Hufflepuff that could actually pass off as a Ravenclaw (this is just a personal view of herself, she likes being right and bright, you see). That feeling of being mentally superior and thinking she's right most of the time is also one of her weaknesses, because it could put a few people off. Her impatience for those who cannot see logic and reason can also cause more people to turn away. And while she is quite the lively, friendly girl who is nice to everyone, she doesn't really take the time to cultivate the acquaintance of people who do not appeal to her.
Despite her sporadic condescending nature, Arisha actually has a few insecurities, mostly pertaining to her bloodline, although she tries her best to ignore it. She is the only non-pureblood in the family (mother is a pureblood, stepfather is pureblood, so consequently, halfbrother is also a pureblood) and she feels that people might think lesser of her because of this. This makes her want to excel more, not just to prove those people wrong but also in defense of her dead muggle father.
Arisha also has a tendency to let annoying instances slide by her and keeps her silence, but in reality, she's just bottling up those feeling of anger or resentment, and when she's had it and burst in extreme temper, she will be rude and callous with her remarks.
Fears: Arisha isn't conscious of it but her fears are related to her family. Having lost her father before she was even old enough to have concrete memories, she fears of losing her mom and being left to a total stranger (well not exactly a stranger, but still, Arisha thinks of Brandon that way since she isn't of his flesh and blood), afraid that her half-brother Ivan, whom he loves dearly, will have the same experience as she did, not having a father while growing up.
History: Her mother, Lauren Ainsworth, and grandmother Joanne Ainsworth, both purebloods, left England after her mother's father (Arisha's grandfather) and brothers died as one of the casualties in the war for side of the Light. Filled with grief and with fear since they're the only ones left living in the family, they hopped from one country to another, until they felt it was safe to settle. They ended up in Naples, Italy, where they lived stayed for some years. This was where Lauren met a young man, Nicolò, who lived next door with his uncle. They ended up as friends, then falling in love and marrying each other, and had Arisha when they were both 24 years old.
Two years later, Nicolò got into accident on the way home from work and this was the cause of his death. After staying for one more year at the place where she lived her short, married life and deciding it was safe by then, Lauren moved back to England with Arisha (then 3 years old) and Joanne. She found a job in a wizarding fashion firm, and after five years, met Brandon O'Hearn, a pureblood, whom she married after three years. Grandmother Joanne had died just months after Lauren introduced Brandon to the family as a 'special friend'. Arisha's brother Ivan was born more than a year later after the marriage.
Despite not having known her father, Arisha was brought up equally exposed to muggle and magic culture. Her mother felt this was just proper, and as a sort of respect and tribute to Nicolò being Arisha's father. This has brought about her broad-mindedness and unprejudiced view of people's opinions.
Once Brandon and Lauren married, they immediately started to work on the papers so Brandon can officially adopt Arisha as his daughter. He was the one most responsible for introducing Arisha fully to the wizarding society, helping her find friends before she started her life in Hogwarts. Arisha was initially shy and introverted, preferring to keep to herself when she came to Hogwarts; it's her usual coping mechanism when dealing with something new. She grew out of that phase quickly though, and reverted to her normal lively, active self once she got comfortable with her new surroundings.
Physical Description: At the least, provide base details of build, height, eye/hair colour, and complexion. Arisha has brown hair, hazel eyes, and stands at 5'4", with light-to-medium build.
Significant Relationships:
Family: Arisha never got to know her real father, Nicolò Guidecelli, because he died early in her life. She loves him though, and keeps a picture of him. She also loves her mother dearly and is absolutely affectionate and happy playing the older sister to her half brother Ivan. She gets along well with her stepfather, although she still isn't too comfortable with the man enough to be chummy with him. It's improving as the years go.
Friends: All (or most) logic flies out the window when it comes to being with
addie_blackwood. It's worth getting in trouble when stalking hot men, professors or not, with her.
Special Considerations: Such as broom ownership, being an animagus, famous in some form, or a metamorphmagus. All are subject to mod approval. N/A

Arisha shook her hand lightly as she entered the Charms classroom. History of Magic was, as usual, all about writing down important dates and events and whatever else was thought to be important to the wizarding world.
She stopped walking and scanned the classroom, looking for a familiar face to sit with. She smirked as she saw Addie, who was doing her usual teasing-slash-flirting session with Nick. Arisha made a beeline for the desk beside them and dumped her bag unceremoniously on the chair beside her.
"Aww, don't you two look sweet." She said sarcastically, with an obvious hint of laughter in her voice. She noticed Nick attempting the Summoning charm and grinned. "Practicing already?"
Arisha took her wand out, looked around for the professor and when she wasn't looking, softly said, "Accio!" The quill was in her hand in a second.
She grinned. "You weren't the only doing some advanced reading over the summer, Trift." Arisha always loved Charms class. She was good at it, she knows she's good at it and it was a really fun subject, in her opinion.
