Personality:
Nora loves anything that involves doing something completely random that will more than likely baffle the rest of the student body. Pranking is generally one of the more amusing aspects of her life, as well as dressing up in random costumes and running amok in the hallways. She is very lighthearted and able to bounce back from negative things that happen in her life. She's never been one to hold grudges against people, and tends to believe in the best of people, until they reach the point where she believes them a lost cause, and will most likely hex them on their way out. She is passionately loyal towards her friends, and will jump to their defences if they're in trouble. Despite being the baby of the family, and always surrounded by her family, Anora is independant, and has trouble letting other people do things for her. She doesn't like having people do things for her in anything school-related because she is somewhat of an academic control freak. Schoolwork is probably one of the only situations in her life which Anora takes seriously.
Strengths: Both magical and personality:
Anora is a bright, hardworking individual. She is aspiring to become an Auror, so her grades must be at a high level if she wants to achieve that goal. Her best subjects are DADA, Transfigurations, and Charms. She has quick reflexes, and is able to think on her feet.
She is a gifted flyer, and knows how to play Quidditch well. She is a dancer (her parents put her in lessons at a young age and she still takes them in the summer.) She is an outgoing individual, self-confident, however a little headstrong and determined, and at times she will not back down without a fight. However, if she knows she’s fighting for a lost cause, she'll most likely let up.
Weaknesses: Both magical and personality:
Anora tends to act before she thinks; she’s impulsive to a degree that is not always wise. She’s a troublemaker, and she tends to disregard the rules if there’s an opportunity to do something outrageous that will stupefy the entire student body.
Anora is also quite naive, despite what she thinks. She'll always choose to believe in the best of people, even if they've betrayed her in the past. As a child, she was kept in a very sheltered environment with her secluded manor outside of Bristol, and never had to experience 'reality.' She is just beginning to learn that there are people in the world that are evil simply because they choose to be. The deaths of her grandfather and Kiriaki have been major catalysts for this realization of hers. It will still be a while until Anora fully understands and comprehends that not everybody in the universe has a compassionate side.
Fears:
Anora isn't afraid of very many things. Having grown up with an older brother and having been subject to his pranks and practical jokes on her, she's become quite tough. She's more or less claustrophobic, finding herself becoming quite anxious and short of breath when she has to put herself in a situation involving small spaces. She also hates rodents of all sorts.
Serious fears of hers are losing the ones she cares about. Having had her mother leave when she was three, and witnessing the death of her Grandfather when she was eleven, she feels that the people she loves the most will somehow be taken away from her eventually.
History: Anora was born to Constance and David Bertrade. The two were married shortly after a period of time where Constance was said to be in an arranged marriage within another pureblooding family (it was all staged,). An older, more wealthy pureblooding family, as David’s family are said to be blood-traitors as David’s father lived (he’s now dead, bless his soul) in a Muggle village and David was brought up in a Muggle village.
During the five month period of time where Constance and David were forbidden to see each other, David had a relationship with Lorraine Montague, a French pureblood witch and conceived a child, Dominic. Lorraine and David broke up before Lorraine even knew about Dominic, however, when she decided to move to Corsica when her mother became ill and needed someone to take care of her. David had loved Lorraine, but he couldn’t leave Britain because of his career as a Cursebreaker.
Constance and David eventually wed due to some family arrangements, and Anora was born just two years after Dominic. Lorraine wrote to David shortly after Dominic was born, saying that he didn’t need to do anything, only that she wanted him to see his son. David of course wanted to see his son, and Constance was informed immediately, the five of them (Anora and Dominic included) were content with their little family arrangement. Lorraine visited frequently with Dominic, but she still loved David, and David still held feelings for her. Constance sensed these feelings, and grew maddeningly jealous. She does not try to harm her family members, because she loves her daughter greatly, but she returns to her family, and is immediately accepted into her old family, and is branded a Death Eater. Anora doesn’t know this of course, she only knows that her mother had left when she was very young. She has no idea about her mother or her mother’s family, it’s never been an issue because a month after Constance left, David married Lorraine, and Lorraine was a loving mother to both the children, never treating Anora any differently than her daughter, and Anora grew up calling Lorraine “Mother” because she was four when Lorraine and David re-married. She found that her biological mother was in fact not Lorraine when she was thirteen, but she didn’t think of it any differently, in her opinion, Lorraine has always, and will always be Anora’s mother.

During her childhood, Anora loved spending time with her Grandfather who lived in a nearby Muggle village. Her brother, Dominic, visited occasionally as well, but Anora had a special bond with her Grandfather. They were both fascinated by Muggle life, and often went to the cinema and the like. When Anora was eleven, in the summer before she attended Hogwarts, she witnessed the death of her Grandfather by a man she didn't recognize. She was spared for some reasons unbeknownst to her, but she has sworn revenge on whomever killed him and this event plays a major part in her passion to become an Auror.

Anora is very close to her father, as he is her true parent and she becamse very attached to him after her mother left when she was three. She was very wary of Lorraine when she married her Dad, and she drew closer to her father as a result. He has always been caring and loving towards his two children, and has always been quite lenient with Anora as he has always felt rather guilty for Anora's mother taking off on them, as it was mainly his own fault.
Lorraine Bertrade (Step-Mother): Grew up on the island of Corsica, and comes from a French pureblood family. She married David when Anora was four, and has always loved Anora like her own child. Anora was wary of her when she first met her, but eventually Lorraine won her over with sheer love and kindness, and Anora came to call her 'Mom' as if she was her own. Always the socialite parent, she was the one throwing the lavish parties and booking up the social schedule. Although she is not an elitist like the general populace of the pureblooding society, she doesn't mind their company. However, she generally socializes with the 'blood traitors' of the pureblood type, as her family is considered one due to the fact that she is married to one.
Dominic Bertrade (Half-brother): Anora's 17 year old half-brother and conscience. Dominic has always been the rational one in the siblingship. Although Anora was afraid of him when she first met him, she now can't remember a time where the two of them haven't been close. She goes to Dominic for EVERYTHING and there are little to no secrets between the two of them. They have a very solid relationship and they counter-balance eachother very well.
Maurice Bertrade (Grandfather): Anora spent every summer with her grandfather before her years at Hogwarts. Choosing to live out the remainder of his life in a Muggle village after the death of his wife, Bernard took to his granddaughter as a companion and student. He taught her about Muggles and the way they live, but always making the experience fun and entertaining for the small child. When Anora was eleven and visiting her grandfather in his small cottage outside of Llanidloes, Wales, a man broke into the residence and murdered him, leaving Anora alive. (The reasoning for this is that the man was Anora's uncle, her mother's brother, and his original intentions were to kidnap Anora and bring her to her mother, but he killed Maurice in a moment of hatred and left in a hurry afterwards, forgetting about Anora. I blame his insanity and rash behaviour on the incest ;D) Anora took the death of her grandfather very hard.

Hannah Salix: Anora and Hannah met in first year Charms Class and the two of them bonded over their natural talent in the subject. The two of them excel in the same classes and despite their obvious personality differences the two of them have a strong friendship. Anora loves that Hannah isn't afraid to be aggressive, and she loves that Hannah puts up with her random kookiness and joins in some of the times (ie. She'll wear a sombrero while Anora sports her top hat at parties)
Jul Agate & Maggie Downey: Dormmates for the duration of the time she's been at Hogwarts. Even though those two are best friends Anora doesn't feel like a third wheel when she hangs out with them because she's known them for so long. She loves forcing them into random girl nights and other acts of randomness. And even though Anora is fairly certain the two of them believe her to be insane? She loves them anyways.
Jojo Jenkins: Because Jojo is good friends with Dominic, Anora sees him as a second big brother to her.
Taylor DeLouise: Anora loves spending time with Taylor. The two of them have a flair for being completely spontaneous and random, and tend to run amok in the halls spreading general mayhem. Recently, Anora began developing feelings for Taylor, which has turned their friendship quite strained and awkward. She tries to accept the fact that she will never be anything more than a friend to him, but at the same time she secretly wishes that they could be more than friends.

Constance Gevarre: Anora's biological mother, belongs to a family of elitist pureblood Death Eaters. Of course, not ALL of them are Death Eaters, but if they are not? They are raving supporters of You-Know-You and his cause. Anora first visits her mother during the course of winter hols in her 5th year, and upon doing so recognizes her mother's brother as the man who killed her Grandfather. Anora cuts her visit short with her mother and returns home. Anora has decided that she does not want anything to do with her mother or her mother's family.

Why are they in that house? Anora is a Gryffindor because she exhibits many of the qualities coveted by the Gryffindor House. Courageous and headstrong, she is also fiercely loyal to her friends and family. She is not afraid to dive headlong into a situation where her friends may be in danger. Although, she is rational to a point, and will hold back and think of a plan of action before doing anything dangerously impulsive.

Anora awoke early that morning, extremely cold. She got up off the ground, ground? and looked around. What. The. Bloody. Hell. She had woken up somewhere on the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest..in full pirate regalia. She had always known to be a rather intensive sleepwalker, but this had just taken it to the next level.
She could vaguely remember her dream, she was sailing along with Captain Hook on the Jolly Roger and was just about to feed Peter Pan to some massive cannibalistic samurais when she had woken up, face down on the ground, in the forest.
"Well, this is certainly a first," she said. She noticed that she was covered in a layer of frost. How the hell did she manage to get out of the castle without being caught by someone? Someone is definitely not doing their job, or maybe she was just gifted at being a sneaky pirate.
After casting a quick drying charm on herself, she wrapped her big piratey coat around her, and began to prance towards the castle, trying to move as much as possible to warm herself up.

Why are they in that house? Anora is a Gryffindor because she exhibits many of the qualities coveted by the Gryffindor House. Courageous and headstrong, she is also fiercely loyal to her friends and family. She is not afraid to dive headlong into a situation where her friends may be in danger. Although, she is rational to a point, and will hold back and think of a plan of action before doing anything dangerously impulsive.

Anora awoke early that morning, extremely cold. She got up off the ground, ground? and looked around. What. The. Bloody. Hell. She had woken up somewhere on the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest..in full pirate regalia. She had always known to be a rather intensive sleepwalker, but this had just taken it to the next level.
She could vaguely remember her dream, she was sailing along with Captain Hook on the Jolly Roger and was just about to feed Peter Pan to some massive cannibalistic samurais when she had woken up, face down on the ground, in the forest.
"Well, this is certainly a first," she said. She noticed that she was covered in a layer of frost. How the hell did she manage to get out of the castle without being caught by someone? Someone is definitely not doing their job, or maybe she was just gifted at being a sneaky pirate.
After casting a quick drying charm on herself, she wrapped her big piratey coat around her, and began to prance towards the castle, trying to move as much as possible to warm herself up.

Character Secrets: Anora is a Pureblood, because, and her mother, Constance Gevarre (who is no longer married to David, Anora’s father) came from an old pure-blooded family. Anora has three uncles that are Death Eaters. They are her mother’s brothers: Keiran, Jameson, and Tyson Gevarre.
...but Anora doesn't know that as of yet..because she doesn't know her mother's maiden name, or any of her family's pureblooded history.
Anora's grandmother and grandfather *were* cousins..but they're dead now.
