Personality: Ramsey is a very ambitious young man who dreams of one day achieving world domination through amazing cooking - or something like that. He is forever coming up with ambitious get-rich-quick schemes which usually start out quite successfully, but he rarely sees them all the way through to the end - not because he hasn't got the patience, but rather because he's come up with something even better and more fantastic.
Financial security is something very important for Ramsey, being the oldest of seven in a household which teeters just on this side of poverty half the time. He learned at a young age how to control his siblings with bribes of food, and continued to do this with fellow students upon coming to Hogwarts.
Strengths: Both magical and personality: Ramsey shares his father's love of cooking and began experimenting himself at a young age. While not yet an excellent cook, his skills are quite advanced for his age, something he has found to be a great advantage in Potions. His interest in and familiarity with different spices and seasonings have allowed him to do well in Herbology as well, which is just as well, as he's not academically accomplished in much of anything that has no relation to cooking. However, since he hopes to run his own restaurant (or fast-food franchise, he's not terribly picky when it comes to the form he expects his eventual success to come in), he tries hard to pay attention to and do well with math - which translates into a pretty decent grade in Arithmancy. Magic-wise Ramsey is not particularly talented nor particularly lacking in any subject area. He does well in Charms when he isn't doodling get-rich-quick schemes instead of writing notes.

It's not that they don't love their eldest child... it's just that he has this annoying tendency of using his siblings to further his plans of world conquest (or something).

Mostly following it - he was substituting right and left, sometimes because he didn't have the ingredient that was specifically called for, sometimes because he couldn't figure out what the author of the book had been thinking, adding those two particular ingredients together when this one would obviously work so much better. And the whole bit about letting it sit at room temperature was complete nonsense - he could cut that in half just by adding a few things that would compliment what was already in the bowl.
Adding a final dash of salt, Ramsey covered the bowl with a cloth and turned around with a grin on his face. "All right now," he said, raising his wooden spoon high and surveying his troops. "Let's see... Tony, you cleaned the bathrooms yesterday... Bridget, you washed the downstairs windows, Jamie did the upstairs... Frank vacuumed, twins cleaned up everything, and Elly..." He turned to the youngest child, staring up and sucking on her fingers. "Elly, you get this one free."
