Personality:
Fiery is probably the best way to describe Remy! He’s stubborn, blunt, and has a fierce temper that can flare up in an instant. He’s incredibly proud, always has to have the last word about anything, and hates to lose ANY sort of competition. Remy tends to keep a small, intimate circle of friends, although he’s not in the slightest bit picky about who those friends are; as long as they prove themselves to him, he’s happy to know them. He loves to flirt, and is a real charmer; with those big brown eyes, who can possibly resist him? He’s wicked and witty, and devilishly charming, but he can so often get himself into horrible situations with those exact traits.
He’s incredibly protective over anything close to his heart, and although he can be a real sweetheart, it’s a very lucky person who will ever get to see that side of him. He always has to be one step ahead, and he cloaks himself in who everybody perceives him to be. He’s no good with words and romantic sentiments, but he can touch and hold and kiss, and make anyone in his arms feel utterly adored.
Strengths: Both magical and personality:
He’s a very talented sailor and windsurfer, and adores anything to do with water or watersports. He’s a keen Quidditch player, and is also well known for organising impromptu rugby or football games at weekends when he’s bored and has too much energy. Basically, anything physical keeps Remy ridiculously happy.
He’s never been very good at the theory side of things, lessons included, which means that his best subjects are Charms and Transfiguration, where he excels. He also does very well at Herbology and Ancient Runes when he puts his mind to them, but his mind is so often wandering in other (more interesting) places that he can lose out completely, and make a mess of something that should have been a piece of cake for him to do.

Remy’s known for his temper, and has a frighteningly glaring problem with violence. Two years ago he was thrown off the Quidditch team for punching a teacher. The previous year, he regularly got into fights and showed no regard for any punishment he might have been given. He still has a very short fuse, partly out of frustration with still being tied down in a lot of respects, and partly out of a innate inability to calm himself down and stop himself shooting his mouth off.
He’s also severely claustrophobic, incredibly proud, and ridiculously stubborn, which makes him incredibly argumentative. He’s seen by a lot of people (understandably) to be arrogant and self-serving, but that’s pretty much a defence mechanism; people he does like, he loves with a passion.
School wise, he’s awful at theory subjects as he just can’t concentrate for long enough. He hates Potions, Arithmany, History of Magic, but oddly enough, enjoys Ancient Runes enough to be taking it as a NEWT subject.

When he was six, there was an incident at his home where Remy was shut in a cupboard by his older cousin for upwards of four hours during a game of hide and seek, and was unable to escape. Because of this, he suffers from severe claustrophobia and cannot stand to be in closed off, dark spaces for any long period of time.
He’s also terrified of being seen as weak or wanting by anyone - yet another reason why he charms and flirts his way around the school, and breaks hearts. He thinks that if people hate him, they won’t be bothered about finding out what really hurts him. It’s a precious few people who Remy will allow himself to be weak or soft around, and even then it’s only for fleeting moments. It simply does not happen.
History:
Born in Cerne Abbas, Dorset to Muggle parents, Remy grew up in a warm household without any sort of want in the world. He has one younger brother, Matthieu who has just started Hogwarts this year and was sorted into Hufflepuff. His mother, Abigail, is a nurse at the local hospital and his father, John, owns a well-respected estate agents. He’s a typical middleclass country lad with great aspirations in the world; and he doesn’t always mind stepping on and over other people to get there.
He started Hogwarts off fairly well, and exceeds in the subjects he likes, but he’s well known for his awful temper and lack of discipline elsewhere. He’s got a fairly solid reputation which he likes to keep intact and preceeding him by miles. When he was in second year, he fell in love with a sixth year girl, and told her so; she laughed him off, in the middle of the common room and completely humiliated him. Revengeful pride made him vow never to fall in love again, and thus began his habit of charming and sleeping his way around the school (though, admittedly, the sleeping part did not begin until he was in third year).
Remy came out as bisexual during one memorable night in fourth year, helpfully confirmed by his best friend, and roommate, Zak Reso. It was at the end of fourth year that he began to go out with Maggie Downey, but his temper got the better of him at the beginning of fifth year and he rashly punched a Professor - earning himself a months worth of detentions, a furious letter from his parents and, worst of all, a ban from the Quidditch team for the rest of the year. Remy was only readmitted to the team during sixth year once Gavin left, and even then only as a Keeper instead of his usual Chaser position. He doesn’t care, he’s just happy to fly again.
Remy returned for a total of one month at the beginning of his sixth year before getting into a sequence of brutal fights with his peers. As punishment, he was suspended for one month from school and only returned at the beginning of November. He's still on probation now, and has to stay on his best behaviour lest he be expelled altogether.

Danny appeared out of the kitchen, a poor nervous wreck. "WHAT, BABY. WHAT IS IT." In his hands was a pile of letters, ignored for the moment with Remy's exclamation. He'd not sorted them yet, and he tossed them onto a side table with a sigh and rake of the hand through his hair. "What?!"
"Fucking...TABLE. OW." Remy was sat on the chair now, scowling as he rubbed at his bruised hip and dented shin. The book had been thrown aside out of frustration and now lay spread open on the perfectly clean, shiny wooden floor. "God DAMN it, Dan, why is that thing THERE! That's the fourth time I've walked into it this WEEK!"
"Fine," Danny snarled. "I'll move the FUCKING table." Without another word he picked it up and moved it out of the way to some random new place, angry and tired and worn out. "And you have LETTERS."
"Don't snap at ME." Remy bit back at him, both of them in absolutely foul tempers that afternoon, stressed and tired and worn out from too much work. "It's your goddamn table!" He headed to the desk, picking up the letters and sorting through them. "Yours. Mine. Yours. Bill. Junk. Bill. Yours. Mi-" The words cut off as he paused, taking the handwritten envelope out of the pile and placing the rest down. He looked oddly distant all of a sudden, and he turned away, finger sliding underneath the sealed envelope fold. It couldn't be. Could it?
Danny groaned and rubbed his face. "What? What is it NOW."
"Letter." He mumbled vaguely and turned slightly back, the paper now out of its envelope. He unfolded the missive, dark eyes scanning it quickly. "From....Zak...."

"ZAK Zak." Remy snapped, not bothering to mess around. "Zak freaking Reso, Dan. Says he's in..." His face clouded, and he sank into a chair, reading and re-reading, and reading for a third time, all over again. "In rehab. For heroin. He's writing from rehab."
