Personality: Bri a warm and kind to almost everyone she meets. She's very naive and trusting and it takes a lot to make her hate someone. She might be put off by brashness or seeming lack of class, but she'll still be friendly or at te least polite. It's very unsual for Bri to be mean, unless it's to someone who has wronged people she loves.
Bri is practical and usually level-headed. She likes things that are easily explained. She likes structure and schedules. She's a fastidious note-taker and is very nearly obsessive about keeping up with her schoolwork and maintaining near perfect grades. Only getting an E on an assinment is grounds for some major sulking. An A will see her holed up in the library for weeks.
Bri has a romantic side, too, which has only come to light since the beginning of her fifth year. Her romance with Tim is on of the most disgusting sweetest things ever and she'll become easily embarassed when asked about it. Even her relationship is colored with the same innocence and idealism as she approaches everything else, though.
Bri hates thinking anyone doesn't like or approve of her. She's confused by it, because she would never willingly hurt anyone and she'll often do whatever she can to rectify the situation.
While not shy, Bri is relatively quiet and reserved. She can have her silly moments, but overall, Bri's idea of a good time is to curl up with a cup of tea and a nice, long book. She doesn't go out of her way to socialize much, preferring the company of books to that of people. Noteable exceptions to this are, of course, timashford, williamfarley and hannah_salix.
Strengths: Both magical and personality: Bri is an excellent student. She is an attentive and careful note-taker and she does very well in theory based classes. She loves to learn and can often be found in te library studying beyond the required material. Bri is excellent at Potions and Divination. She's very intuitive and picks up quickly on what people are thinking, though she is not psychic or a seer. She has a sharp mind and understands the theory behind her other subjects, but doesn't always do so well on the practical application. The exception to this is DADA. She seems to have a knack for hexes, jinxes, and countercurses. In terms of personality, Bri is a good friend to have. She won't hesitate to hex someone who has hurt someone she cares about. Her skill at hexing is even more advanced after a couple of months of being stuck at Durmstrangs where the actual practice of the Dark Arts is a big part of the curriculum. Bri is your typical spoiled little rich girl and she has pretty much anything and everything money can buy. She also has two sisters who will be sporadically referenced as NPCs. She has a cousin at Hogwarts - Dariana Davison. The girls are fairly close, being about the only members of their immediate families who aren't the typical elitist snobs. Dari is a bit more carefree than Bri and does her best to get her to loosen up. Bri wrote her nearly every day while she was away from Durmstrangs and Dari played an integral role in getting her back to Hogwarts, basically sending Thomas daily Howlers until he caved.
Bri's time at Durmstrangs will have had an adverse effect on her. She was "beaten" with stunning spells for refusing to perform a lot of the dark magic that is part of the curriculum there and verbally abused and hexed almost daily by her classmates. She will attempt to hide most of this from her friends at Hogwarts, wanting to forget all about it and get back to the life she left behind.

Why are they in that house? Hello. She did win most likely Ravenclaw As her journal name suggests, Bri is a bookworm. She would much rather spend time with books than people and is often found reading books - factual books - for fun. She is also fascinated by literature of any kind, especially muggle literature which is something her family denied her when she was younger. The few muggle books she did get her hands on as a child were confiscated and banished by her father, but now that she's at Hogwarts, she often borrows such books from Lia or some other willing friend. Her favorite spot in Hogsmeade is the bookshop and there is little she would rather be doing than curling up by the fire in the common room with a good book.

"You're doing it wrooooong," she hissed, just loud enough for him to hear.
She tried not to laugh as he almost dropped the porcupine quills right into the cauldron - the very thing Bri had been trying to keep him from doing to begin with. She caught his hand just in time and used her other hand to wave her wand and as she mutttered the incantation to extinguish the fire beneath his boiling potion.
"Wh-what?" Tim stammered.
"You have to take it off the fire before you add the quills," Bri explained patiently. "Otherwise you'll melt the cauldron and anything the potion spills on will be covered in horrible boils." She pointed to the section of the text that explained it. "See?" she said, giving him one of her patented know-it-all looks.
He blushed furiously (and rather adorably, too, she thought for the first - but certainly not the last - time). "T-t-thanks," he whispered as he stirred in the quills and finished his potion. Bri peered over the edge of his cauldron and smiled encouragingly at him. "That's not half bad," she said. It wasn't as nice as hers, of course, but it wasn't horrible either.
"I'm Gabriella, by the way," she whispered. "Gabriella Richards." She looked at him expectantly, but she was still smiling. "I-I'm T-Tim," he replied. "Tim Ashford." The pair smiled at each other once more and began cleaning up their workspace as the bell rang.
