If Ed was thrilled, Ollie was the complete and total opposite of thrilled. Oh, sure, he'd acted the part. He'd smiled and acted happy for Ashleigh, but he was absolutely sulking about this. Not only was Ashleigh - his Ashleigh - now married, but she had to marry that great big prat of a Slytherin, too. Nevermind that they weren't still in school. Nevermind that she so obviously loved the guy. That was supposed to be him she was vowing to spend her life with! How could she not know that?
Oh, right. Because he'd never mentioned it. This just sucked.
At least there was liquor, though, right? Yes, there most definitely was. Ollie grabbed his drink from the bartender and slammed it back before requesting another. And another. And still more. Thank Merlin for Firewhiskey. Ollie hadn't exactly been raised around the stuff, but he couldn't help feeling grateful for it's existence now.
Maible was really, really happy for her sister. They'd spent some time together over the summer and again during the recent holidays and they were actually starting to feel like sisters. Finally. She really hated that things hadn't started out that way, but at least she didn't feel like Ashleigh hated her, anymore, and that was a good thing.
She was far too young for drinking, so Maible was hanging out at her table, just watching the people move around the room. People watching was a lot of fun and a lot less nerve-wracking than getting up and talking to a bunch of people she didn't know.
Well, Tia wasn't exactly sure what she was here for but her mum knew someone or something there was a wedding going on! Which, apparently, meant dressing up and getting to attend a party. Tia was quite excited by this, even if she didn't really know anyone. Look at all the dresses! And the food. One was never to forget the food. There were an awful lot of people she didn't know- the couple had graduated last year which made them Older and far beyond her reach at the moment. Adults were fine and well but Tia needed more time to warm up to them if you were thinking actual conversation. (Not much time, truth be told, but there were so many to be talking to!) Besides, they were all concerned with Adult Things right now. It left Tia with plenty of time to cut amongst the crowds and check out all of the tables and look for something exciting to investigate
