[The entry appears in large, hurried script; looks left-handed, obviously disguised.]

PLEASE

I don't want to die. I don't know what all of you have got waiting for you where you come from, but I know what I have. They can keep my memories. I don't want to die.

Please don't make it angry.

That is a cowardly thing to write. I understand not wanting to die, but to not seek our your memories out of fear is silly. They could be very important!

Also if you are not specific on how you think we are making whatever it is you fear angry, then we cannot know what it is we should or should not do.

It's just theoretical.

For many. But some it isn't. Why lie about it? Sometimes life just sucks.

I know.

It is not lying to say that a great deal of time life only 'sucks' because people expect it to suck and do not look for the good in a situation.

[inkblot] What!? I did not know that I died! Or that I dreamed of it! Or thought I dreamed of it or... or something!

You did not die, and you did not dream of your death. The memory looked like you died, but I had before remembered saving you from what you saw.

I have not shared all that you knew with you yet because I do not want to overload you with information. It is a careful balance, but I think that I can tell you of that safely now, in person.

Oh okay. [A long pause as he rests in relief, though he realizes he should have known better. He's definitely older than the Lotus everyone speaks about having been here before. Of course he would not remember being dead if that's the case.]

I would like to know what you can tell me then, Father. I would like to know everything you feel is safe, at least.

You have been here thirty-four days and he only had the one apple, so I think it is safe to share that with you now.

It does not feel like I have been here that long at all.

If you can manage to keep the dragon away, I would like to talk now.

Time passes swiftly when you are with family?

I will shut the dragon in the house with Bell; he is reading and it should not bother him.

Perhaps! I do enjoy living with you and Bell-san. [Yes, he acknowledges he's family too.]

Good, then let us talk!

I enjoy having you live with me and Bell, my son!

I have a daughter waiting for me at home, buddy, so as tempting as that sounds... I'd have to stick with where I came from.

It is understandable! I would want to be with my Father as well!

What good are memories if you're dead? It's nice to be brave, but I'd rather be smart.

And about that - ask your father.

I know plenty of people who had not died just from finding a memory. And I did not say you should not be careful about it! But running away is never a good way to deal with anything.

I will be sure to ask him then.

Neither is throwing yourself headfirst into it, without considering the consequences. You should make decisions because they make sense, not because you have something to prove.
