I got a new phone, it's an LG Vu. It was the fanciest of the free when I went to Best Buy to renew my contract. I still disapprove of phones that brag multimedia capabilities as key features but require you to use their inferior proprietary headphones rather than giving me a real mini-stereo jack. They at least had the decency to include a set

Depending on the type of jack used, there are several varieties of dirt-cheap adapters that will allow you to use any headset you like. Or your car kit. Or whatever floats your boat. I'm sure I can help you find the necessary adapter. After all, I got one for me & Ariel's Moto e815's easily, and at Meijer no less. And yes, the Moto does have a proprietary jack. Basically, all phones made in the past4 years or so do. Let me know if you want help finding the right adapter!
