Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll tell you want happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.

Hmm. You can get one or the other :-)

I think, however, I'm going to opt for the one week because if I do write a sequel (I've started planning one, but it would be almost novel length and I'm not sure I'm up to that level of commitment), it wouldn't start until months later.

I'm glad somebody asked for more of Mind Over Matter, though I for one would absolutely love it if you would give in to the urge to write a whole sequel (hint, hint).
