Time Stamp Meme, Take 2

One week after his return to Princeton-Plainsboro, Robert Chase was feeling a tad more comfortable with the idea of his mutancy, but far less sanguine about his ability to hide his genetic status. Charles Xavier had been right-it had turned out to be a lot easier than he thought to adapt to his "gift.'

When he and Foreman had been ordered to ( Read more... )

Even Superman, he thought, might have met his match in House. That image, for whatever reason, amused Chase immensely.

As it does me! Now I really wish someone would make a House/Superman face-off manip.

The way you've presented it, Chase hiding his powers in the hospital has such intersting potential, I really hope you continue with a sequel. House's smugness can't remain. Will he torment Chase and use powers, or will he slightly resent Chase for having an advantage over him?

LOL! The phrase in question actually came from a half-finished fic that I had to abandon because incidents on the show made it impossible to continue.

But I loved it so much (and it fits Chase so well on the show, of late), I just had to save it for something else.

Oh, Our Lady of Perpetual Doghouse. Priceless! And I love that Chase compares himself to Superman. That's just so... Chase.

Now I want to read the fic where House finds out about Chase's powers. *G*

I must admit that it's getting harder to resist the temptation to write a sequel, no matter how much work it would involve. As hard as this was to do, it was also kind of fun. And I love my floppy-haired Aussie.

Okay, that's just hilarious - both the mental comparison to Superman, the implied Superman and House face-off, and the absolutely wonderfully wry way Chase thinks about himself and the "norm" for his job as being a worshipper at "Our Lady of Perpetual Doghouse." *Snerk* Thank you SO much for the link - this really has made me smile like a loon, and I can always use another reason to smile!
