i just turned 29 on the 27 of this month, and none of my friends in town noticed. no one called, no one wrote, no one texted, no one emailed. just nothing. and it's not as if i wanted some stupid gifts. i can buy myself stupid gifts that'll distract me for a very short time. i just want someone to care, and....... that didn't happen. not even

yeah that is pretty much garbage! people can be extremely self-absorbed. to a large extent i have mainly given up expecting validation (or anything much at all) from other people. human relationships can be very disappointing. (not to say that i don't appreciate what you're saying.)

you should still organise something for your birthday and invite people though. and be like, i would love for you to come and belatedly celebrate my birthday with me by having dinner! you should really do it.

i floated a bunch of ideas past these ppl, and they finally agreed to go to some brewery here in town. then i guess everyone forgot or had something better to do. good times!
