Summary :So Nino has a girlfriend, what did Aiba do?
Ninomiya Kazunari and Aiba Masaki are lifetime friends, that is a basic knowledge, at least to an Arashi’s fan. They were literally twin. They finishes each other words like scripted dialog. They remember each other boxer’s size by heart. They abused each other on national TV, showing their affection to each other like the most natural thing in the world. So it is natural that they also protected each other like a shield against anything, everything. And it is happening now.
Ninomiya Kazunari is being super excited the whole week, even a fool can detect he is in love, let alone his best friend. So when Nino asked him to dinner one night, Aiba said yes immediately. He knows that Nino will tell him when he is ready but Aiba never thought that the dinner will be joined by his new girlfriend also, which took him a little by surprise. Of course he is happy for him but he can’t help being paranoid about that girl. He wants the best for Nino after all.
The dinner went well, they ate and drank a lot. Nino is really enjoying the night, being accompanied with his best friend and his new girlfriend. He has been waiting to introduce Aida, his girlfriend to Aiba and when they finally have time tonight, he is very happy that they manage to eat together. Being too happy plus several full shot of beers, makes Nino dipsy and sleepy. He almost passed out on the chair of the private room. Aiba, on the other hand, is being careful. He hold his alcohol so he can keep a good eye on the girl and also Nino.
The girl also seems to act very carefully and aware that Aiba is watching or rather, judging her qualification to date Nino. So when Aiba carefully placed the head of sleeping Nino on the pillow and watched her with a dangerous eyes, she kind of expected what is coming.
“Say Ai-chan..” said Aiba, with a very dangerous tone. A tone of ‘don’t mess with me I’ll crushed you to death if you do’. Aida gulped and hummed her acknowledgment, waiting for Aiba’s next words.
“I don’t know you just yet, but trust me I will! If you have anything to say, say it now.” Said Aiba again, still the same tone.
“Eh? Excuse me?” she was shocked and somehow panicked a bit. What does this guy mean?
“Why are you dating Nino? Do you really love him? Or are you just after his fame and money?” ah, Aida thought. So Aiba is doubting her.
“Aiba-san, I love your best friend. Maybe not as much as you do, but very much that it hurts just by imagining he is not with me.” Aida try to give her best answer. Actually she prepared the answer since Nino tell her that he will introduce her to his best friend. Aida can guess that the question will definitely come out and it did.
“Are you really?” Aiba smirked.
“Are you doubting me?” Aida asked back. She understand a little doubt from a best friend but Aiba’s smirking face annoys her. How dare this man?
”Yes! Listen to me you little ambitious girl, if you are after fame, I’ll introduce you to film director or magazine editor so you can be the centre of attraction and if you are after money, I’ll pay any amount you want so you don’t ever have to work in your whole life! Dating Nino is a challenge, so if you just after trivial things like that, take my offer and leave our path. I will kill you if you hurt him, I swear you will die in pain and nobody will find your corpse!” Aiba said, very roughly and his face shows that he is not joking. Aida is taken back, her heart beats rapidly. She is Arashi’s fan her whole life. She always saw a sweet smiling Aiba on TV and the Aiba in front of her is very different. She is sweating and very scared. She wished that Nino will wake up and protect her but seeing him asleep behind Aiba, she knows she will have to defend herself. So he take a deep breath before answering.
“Aiba-san, I’m sorry but I have to decline your offer. I love Nino and I am not after any of the things you can offer. If you doubt me, take it your way but I am not leaving him. I love him and as long as he loves me back, I will stay by his side, no matter what you think of me.” Aida answered, confidently. She is truly in love with Nino. She loves him, not his idol status or his bank balance.
Hearing her answer, Aiba’s stern face soften a bit. After about 30 seconds of having a staring contest, Aiba finally smiles.
“Fine. You have my consent. But I warned you, never hurt him! I am capable of murder, and I am not joking.” Aiba said strictly but a little bit friendly. Aida sighed in relief and they shook hands as a sign of peace, not realizing a smiling Nino who is not sleeping at all in the first place.
