One of the more popular (by attendance) activities last year was the Abita Brewery Tour. About 20 of us hopped on a small bus I'd reserved, drove from the Maison Dupuy to the Abita Brewery, got a tour of the facilities, and drank as much beer (in all their varieties) and root beer as we could. I will be in attendance.

My wife will not be in NOLA with me, but my son (who lives in that city) may or may not be along. I will let you know as soon as possible if he will be with us (he is 26 yo)

WooHoo...Abita Brewery here we come! Remind me to take a quick break from the beer and try a glass of root beer...can't believe I didn't try that! Then I can go back to drinking beer ;-)
