frankly, i could care less about the prostitution aspects to this whole situation. what bothers me is her attitude about the whole thing. i mean, wtf did she expect? 'oh look, i need money because i'm tired of being a struggling student. gee, maybe some guy will pay thousands to take my virginity even though i'm a lesbian. it can't be that big a deal, right? oh god, i did it and i feel soooo awful! boo-hoo! poor me! what was i thinking?' fuck that. she needs to stop her god-damn whining. she made her bed, and now she has to clean up the bloody sheets. she got paid over $10k in u.s. dollars, an exorbityant amount of money for a sexual act. i've never heard of a $10k/hr prostitute before. she should be proud that she set the bar so high ( ... )

Over $15K, actually, but they might have spent more than an hour. :-)

I agree; her regrets do ring a bit hollow. She is very young, but certainly not deserving of sympathy from me.

I LOVE YOU!

that was wonderfully put... compete agreement

it pisses me off that anyone - especially me - even gave this stupid bitch any time of my day.

i'm a rape survivor - do you see me whining? no - i dont and haven't in years...

she's got cash in the bank and willingly made herself out to be an object for sale.

FUCK HER FOR MAKING WOMEN LOOK LIKE THAT! you paid me, i fucked you, now pity me!

why is she a lesbian anyway?

sounds like someone had man issues - and wanted to punish herself and get paid for it if you ask me.

terrible for women as a whole ... most of my lesbian friends hate people that make women look like such stupid brainless little twits.

i'm not a lesbian but i do too.... this little girl needs to drop school and use that money on therapy.

8400 pounds is a *lot* of money for crappy sex with a lesbian virgin.

Per simple web research, the going rate for an experience prostitute at one of the less touristy brothels in Nevada is somewhere between $300 and $600 for 1-2 hours depending on what you want. You'll pay slightly more for touristy places like the Chicken Ranch Brothel, but less at the lesser known places.

For 8400 pounds, I imagine you can fly from Britain to Las Vegas, spend an entire week at Las Vegas, have prostitution style sex all seven days of the week, and still have a couple thousand pounds to blow on booze and gambling.

I believe that an unwise purchase was just made. :)

Well, on purely financial terms, from our perspective, the purchase may have been unwise. However, as we learn from the Austrian school of economics in general, and the theory of subjectivity of value in particular, such things can't be evaluated in purely financial terms. :-)

Certainly I recognize that the value of something to a person is subjective. Personally however I would lean on the term that this is a classic example of a market inefficiency, created by the auction atmosphere. :)

I'm a student. And i have student debt. And being on a council through the university to try to eliminate Student Debt, i have heard stories of people working 4 or 5 jobs to live and pay their tuition. But wow, that is a little extreme hey?

yes, she is whiny, yes, she has (or will have) regrets, but it also makes yah think, How much lower do a student have to stoop to pay student debts off?

Hell, I'm not stoopin that low. Plus, my virginity was gone long ago.

Probably more than a little extreme.

I don't think she was necessarily debasing herself; prostitution is a more honest and honorable profession than, say, politics. :-)

By the way, I noticed that you were born on the same month, day and year as my eldest son (Christmas, 1985). He's a high school senior, though.

I didn't know you were on LiveJournal! Welcome! And please convey our fondest regards to the rest of the family!

Here in New Jersey, the cutoff occurs in the summer. If your birthday is after September, you wait until the next school year. So Logan (our eldest) is a senior, his brother Ian (15, and an October baby) is in 9th grade, but Brenna, the youngest (she's 13, and an August baby), is in 8th grade - almost two years younger than Ian, but only a year behind him in school.
