If one more person tells me to become an American citizen, I think I'm gonna scream. To recap, I am a minor (well, only for the next 6 months), and my dad recently (yesterday) became an American citizen. Good for him. Wow i didn't know you were an indian citizen, cool. When did you come to america? Anyways, why don't you try for dual citienship? I have dual citizenship I feel that it defines me well. But I know how you feel, I would never give up my israeli citizenship even though i was born here because i feel i need both as ony together do they really define me. Anyways, as long as its not hurting anything, no worries =), you can always get one when you're ready, and it shouldn't take too long, my parents got it done within a year or so.

I moved here when I was 8 or 9. I'm trying to figure out the whole thing about the dual citizenship... but some websites say it doesn't exist, and some say it does. Once I figure out exactly what it entails according to Indian Law, then i'll know for sure. but yea, i'm looking into it.

become an american citizen. your identity is only superifically defined by your passport. you should become a citizen for the practical advantages you will get, including job/internship opportunities. you're going to be indian for the rest of your life! why the fuck does a piece of paper have anything to do with that???
