I've come to become a lot less bitter about my undergraduate department than I was a year or two ago. This is a good thing in a certain sense, but I'm also actually sort of ashamed at the resigned disregard I've brought to the table when before, I would have resisted, complained, and fought with every fiber of my existence the wrongs we underwent

At career fairs, talks, guest lectures, communications, email, etc. people make it sound like everyone there has this incredible, strong sense of loyalty to one's employer

Every now and again, while doing something, I get this feeling of being empowered, of having the ability to do great and incredible things with what ability I have learned and able to see the beauty of the technology and business I immersed myself in. I felt that way today while working, a sense of satisfied contentment

So graduation happened this past weekend. I started work at Google this past Tuesday. Everything they say about Google is all true and much, much more. It is, so far, the most incredible work environment I have ever encountered. I'm bound by legal contract that I can't really disclose any of the stuff I learn or do there until late 2007
