World's coolest apartment?

Mar 12, 2013 12:59

I saw a piece on HGTV about this apartment in the pyramid atop Seattle's Smith Tower. Very impressive! I particularly like the spiral stairs going up to the glass globe at the top.

nice apartment but I hate to live so high in the sky-I am afraid of heights-I like living on the ground-hope all is well

I'm accustomed to living in a high-rise, but it would be unnerving in an earthquake.

What HGTV show were you watching??? That apartment is on the other side of my neighborhood (until about 3 months ago I could see it easily from my living room but now the new building blocks it).

That building is also filled with beautiful woodwork, an old (original) adorable staffed elevator. It was packed during the dot com boom and then it was empty and now it's filling up again.

We have a giant black building (Columbia Tower) a few blocks from there and they call it The Box that Smith Tower came in.

It was on Extreme Homes, this episode.

Good to hear that it is filling up again. I hope the family living in the apartment can stay there after the recent management changes.

Thanks for the episode pointer!

I thought I heard that the people who redid the pyramid into that fancy residential place had moved on and the apartment was empty now but my gossip may be old.
