36th Report :: [Closed Commentlog] Don't ask, don't tell

*Even though he worked at Sergei's, Marco usually ate at the buffet if he wasn't 'tending there. It was a lot easier to just grab things when he was hungry than to bother someone for food. So that's where he could be found this evening, sitting alone with a sandwich and a bottle of vodka, blissfully unaware of the pheromones in the air around him

[Tan also tended to prefer the buffet--sushi wasn't his style, and he felt a little bad asking the cooks at Sergei's to make things for him, even if it was their "job". When he catches sight of Marco, he heads over to join the man with a smile.]

*Marco chuckles a bit and smiles to Tan*

'Fearless leader,' huh? I guess I'm doing alright. You?

It's as good a title as any, right?

[He grins and cracks open his own bottle of beer.]

Not half bad. Enjoying the air, enjoying the food, enjoying the view. Been a decent kind of day.

So. How're things holding together? The teams and all, I mean. [Not the most tactful question, no, and it might not be his place to ask, but whatever. He offered help to Godric, he's offered it to Marco, too, which means he'd like to know where things stand, even if it's just in a vague way.

There's also the implied "how are you holding up?" since he figures if Marco was close enough to take over things, they must have been pretty close in general.]

I guess it is. Never figured it'd be used for me, though.

*He shrugs a bit, taking a drink from his bottle*

Well, right now everything's just waiting and making sure who's still in. I think most everyone is...it's not until something happens that we'll really know.

*He pauses, and sighs. Marco noticed the implied question, but he's not so sure he wants to answer it*
