Have I mentioned recently I like to read? :)

English Tea Murder by Leslie Meier; another installment in a series that's enjoyable, although I'm glad I buy the books used. I probably wouldn't buy them new.

Murder by Mocha by Cleo Coyle; who knew chocolate really could be deadly? ;)

Room for Murder by Tim Myers; I like this lighthouse-set series (although not on an ocean) and I wish there were going to be more, but I think there's only 2 I haven't read and he's not publishing more.

A Plateful of Murder by Claudia Bishop; I did not like this. I should have, because it's in a setting I like (B&B/Inn), with characters I should like, and includes recipes. The two recipes in this book are nothing I'd make, probably, and there are ONLY two recipes (there are two stories in the book) which I find ridiculous for a story set in an inn with a restaurant and the lead chef is the lead sleuth's sister. Oh, and the characters. I wanted to like them, but I just couldn't. Bah.

The Tale of Castle Cottage by Susan Wittig Albert; I love her books. Almost across the board, I've loved everything I've read by SWA. And the latest (presumably last) installment in the Cottage Tales is no exception. Delightful, fanciful, fun reading. :)

The Lost Hero, The Son of Neptune, and The Throne of Fire by Rick Riordan; when an author can write a story nominally for youth but it's still enjoyable by an adult, I think it can be called a success. One of the best things about Riordan's books isn't just the fun way he's introducing a whole new generation to the Roman/Greek/Egyptian gods and mythology, it's the humor. After all, with lines like "But getting kidnapped by a field of grass? That was new.", what's not to love?
