That opening teaser section was SPECTACULAR. The music was so perfectly matched to the action and seriously, it actually made my heart race. The clothes and hair were SO realistically 80's, gah, I was sold in the first five minutes.
And then Elizabeth and Phillip happened and OMG I could not love them more. Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys are UTTER PERFECTION and the love he feels for her and his family, it actually made me tear up. He was ready to give it all up, have a normal life with his family. And then HE KILLED FOR HER. Ugh, I just am so completely in love with him and his goodness. Also? Matthew Rhys has NEVER BEEN HOTTER. Hnnngh.
And Elizabeth did the same for him. She could have sold him out, he was ready to betray his country after all and that is unconscionable to her. But she loves him, and then she told him who she really was and I just... I am shipping them so hard I am surprised my head has not exploded.
I am OBSESSED.
