We just don't get to see much of the 8th Doctor, and it could have been a so much better movie.

I understand the Big Finish audio adventures and novels featuring the 8th Doctor are extremely popular--have you sampled any of those?

I think that Rose's charms as a companion wore off with the romance between her and 9/10th doctor. At least, it did for me, but maybe because it grated on my nerves as a Classic Who fan.

Both characters had great story arcs, though, as they both really grew by the end

That is exactly why Donna won. It's a sign of some good writing when you can take a character who is hated and annoying and turn them into someone that the entire audience feels for and feels horrible about their eventual fate.

Ugh, I couldn't stand Donna either. No idea why she'd be the front-runner.

I really like Mickey. He went from a loser to being a guy who you could believe picked up a BFG and took on Cybermen.

And I like him hooking up with [spoilergirl].
