I was totally confused when I followed the link from your post- I LOVED the original series, and got all excited for a sequel, only to find out that it was a remake. (I am so out of the loop.)

I liked the art style of the original better, and I'm not sure what the point of remaking it is, having never read the manga. I'll probably try to watch it though, just because I loved Ed and Al's interaction THAT MUCH. Also, that ending was the cutest thing I've seen in a really long time. I got all nostalgic and fangirly.
