Pennsic

Let us not kid ourselves that I will remember everything in this one post, nor will I be able to remember everything in chronological order.  This is more of a highlights post.  I may write about more stuff in detail later, but I'm in the middle of moving everything this week, so maybe I won't.

First of all, I left for Pennsic on Friday morning ( Read more... )

Congrats on the class - how did you end up setting up your handout? I am curious!

Scarisbrick's book is awesome, shame it got snapped so quickly!

I opted for an all-text handout and took lots of replicas (mine and a friend's) to pass around. I know that when I unpack I will find my teaching notebook that has big, lovely color print-outs of artwork, and then I can start planning for next year. I've already been tapped to teach for two more events this fall.

My friend works for the bookseller, so he is going to see if she knows how to get anymore copies, because the price was pretty good.

Actually, brusten took the tent down alone. I was packing up our things at that point, and I think I had sent Phil off to find coffee for himself.

I wish I hadn't had to leave that for him. I will thank him again next time I see him.

What was frustrating for me was that I had to let Brusten pack his pavilion by himself, and then turn him down when he asked for help with the tent. I wanted to help him, but if I had, we would have been even later getting out than we were. Brusten and I were both frustrated that we didn't get away until well after noon, and then were even later getting on the road, after stopping for lunch at the new Subway. I think we didn't get on the road much before 2:00 PM. (We really had only just gotten home when you arrived. And Brusten and Folly got to our place just shortly after you left. Folly was disappointed because she wanted to say goodbye to Chamberlain and Dani.)
