Thanksgiving Movies

Happy late Thanksgiving, all.

Mine went quite well. I spent part of the morning watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on the television with my mother, then the whole family (that being my brother, my parents and I) left for IHOP for breakfast. I heard the book Howl's Moving Castle by Dianna Wynn Jones is awesome, so maybe you should check it out.

I haven't seen too many recent movies. I'm picky and usually too busy to go see them. *sadface*

Well, I haven't read the book, but I hear at the beginning they keep the main plot in tact but it kind of steers away onto it's own original storyline. (Which kinda sucks.) Also, Ghibli being Ghibli, they had to add extra quirk to some of the characters. Like making the Witch of the Waste a fat ugly woman as opposed to young and beautiful.

Howl's Moving Castle was okay. The anime didn't follow the usual clichés, so that was good, but I thought the characters were too boring. I also disliked some the dubbed actor's voices.

I didn't watch the dub. Strange, I found myself thinking the opposite about the characters.
