Good for him. We were married in Cedar Rapids on June 12 this summer. I lived in SW Iowa and nearby in Omaha for 23 years so it's like a second home to me as well.
I agree with him that the younger generation doesn't care (or more specifically) does not see it a threat to them, gay or straight, to share legal marriage rights with all that that entails. Hallelujah! Even my own three children would agree with that observation.
