So, I turned in my final draft of my research paper this morning and my professor asked for a word. She told me that I should really think about having it published, definitely in "Ex Post Facto," the History Department's Journal, but also in the "Journal of the History of Sexuality" as well. Great news. Congratulations. Just getting down to work on my Master's dissertation myself, so it's nice to hear inspiring stories of people who do it right. Can I ask what you wrote your paper on?

thanks, it is on how changes in attitudes towards the discourses which work to define what we conceive of today as homosexuality affected the relationships of men who knew Charles Warren Stoddard in the second half of the nineteenth century. what's your dissertation on?

Interesting stuff (though I know very little of Stoddard). Mine's in the English as a foreign language field and involves making recommendations for a language learning institute to promote learner autonomy through its resource center.
