See? I told you she wasn't out yet.

I am a little confused about the political process so perhaps you can explain it to me. ^_^ And please forgive me if I sound incredibly stupid. What is the difference between a caucus and a primary? Is one more important than the other? Also, in elections I've noticed that one can have the popular vote but still lose the election. If our government is set up so that the people elect the leaders, how is it that when the people choose a certain candidate they can still lose?

A primary is a secret ballot vote, much like the one on election day. Delegates are awarded based on the percentage of the popular vote each candidate receives. Each state has slightly varying rules. In some like New Hampshire, you can vote only once, but for any side. In others, you can vote only once per side, but can participate in both the democratic and republican primaries. In others, you can only vote in your registered party ( ... )
