Tam Ams Movings!

Well, it's official: after a krillions billions years in this apartment, financial instability has forced us to move. Fortunately, through one of my friends who I work with, there's an apartment in her building that I can easily afford. It's a lot smaller than this place, but I'm pretty sure I can whittle down my packrat hoard enough to make ( Read more... )

What a drag that you have to do that but groceries are a good thing as is paying your bills. (Or so I've been told.)

Aw, don't be sorry. I'm just pressing the cosmic reset button, that's all. At least this time I'll be able to have people over, instead of looking at boxes of clutter.

Mmmmm...groceries. I remember what that's like. As for the utilities, luckily all I have to do for most of them is just transfer them to the new address. Our electric bill will have to be cancelled altogether because it's a different city, and a different power company.

ACK, moving sucks. So does not being able to afford groceries, though. :/ I've been there, and it was mortifying. ***HUGS***

Is there anyone local who can come in with an objective view as to Stuff And Things? My BFF helped me whittle down the stuff in my room, which turned out to be invaluable.

I'll take the smaller place over starvation any day. (HUGS)

Well, the last time we had people come in to help us clean, my marriage certificate and my tribble that I made while I was in high school got pitched into the trash. We weren't home at the time this happened, or else it might have been prevented. This made me a lot more leery of bringing in someone else to toss out my stuff.

As it is, I'm probably going to donate or give away some of the furniture. The bedroom set is nice, but there's no room to put it, which is fine by me, I don't really need it anyway.

I'm just going to have to sort all this stuff without any sentimentality, which will be tough, but not insurmountable.

Plus I'll be a little bit closer to Mom and Dad, in case they need help with anything. The good thing is I'm only moving about a mile away from here, which makes hauling boxes and stuff a lot easier.

If I lived over your way I'd come sort for you. I'm a very effecient sorter, I've been asked to do it before for people. But you're too far away.

In the past, we tended to move every 2-6 months. I kept some shit in boxes and just shoved it all under the bed, it was easier that way.

Affording food is always good, I've been on insane food budgets before so I know how that is.

If you were closer, I'd certainly take you up on that offer.

Funny thing is, I'm finding boxes that I never unpacked in the first place. And now I have to unpack them, just to see what's inside because I don't remember.

Fuck. I hate moving like Nathan hates the dentist. But at least you'll be able to eat! That's always fun. XD Wish there was more I could do to help ya out. (If we was neighbors, I'd grab a flatbed and help ya move on down the road.)

Yes, eating is nice. My girlishly round figure depends on it. :D

Heck, if I had a personal teleporter, I'd bring you and Z over and I'd be done in a weekend. :)
