Why are panels at Anime Boston so dorky? "Now let's discuss which move has frame advantage?" "Why does SvC suck?" I dunno if I can picture it being that exciting.
As much as I love the technical side of fighting games (AND I DO) I was thinking of focusing more on the social aspect. Why is the Break the only fucking arcade on the east coast that holds fighting tournies? Could we make a bid for the next EVO to be on this coast? What does it take to get the machine you want in your local arcade? Do we have teams/groups for fighters like DDR sees? Could there effectively be a grassroots league in the Boston area?
These are all issues I'd like to address. Also, I'm gonna ask anyone who plays MvC2 to get the fuck out. =P
Psssh, it's not like MvC has that much less BS than GGXX. :P
Evo's never gonna be on EC. The organizers live in Cali. Just go to the next ECC or whatever. Places in Philly and NY hold tournies. There's a group of New England fighting game people. Just go to the SRK forums. GT had some fighting game tournies, but I guess they stopped. Arcade managers rarely listen and/or don't have a choice to what games they get, and fighting games don't make as much as they used to.
Oooh Oooh! Can I be on it? I can talk about the merits of DOA 2's breast bounce and why Ehrgheiz was actually a good fighting game despite the terrible advertisements.
