Swimming

Now that I know of a swimming hole that tends to have few people (especially very few children). Surrounded by tree covered hill sides, no plants growing from the bottom (yick), and lots of really deep water, I am swimming a lot more ( Read more... )

While I know you're a strong swimmer and of all the people I know, I'd trust you to swim alone the most ... I would like to point out that I just lost a co-worker to drowning and was alarmed to read that you're swimming by yourself. I'm not asking you to stop, but just PLEASE be careful. The world is better with nuin in it, especially my world. :(

On another note, I believe the time has come for me to get a better camera, and am requesting your assistance in scouring eBay for a sweet deal like you got. Specifically, I need something that has a more adjustable shutter speed than what I have -- I need it to go both faster and slower. Can you render assistance, m'lady?

And finally, are you coming to Warren War (Aug. 24th-26th in Ferndale?) We got back from my first SCA event yesterday, and it was FUN! I'm trying to get quert to at least go overnight (probably Saturday) as well. With the four of us, we could have our own encampment. What do you think?

I don't know much about digital cameras. I do not think I am the right person to help you with that project. I am still trying to figure my camera out.

Warren War... Sure! I will try to make sure I have that weekend off. E-mail me the info. Where... etc. I knew you would like it. Mr. Costume boy.

As for the swimming, there are no riptides there. The heavy waves were towards shore... ish. If I stopped swimming they would have pushed me a few hundred yards down towards shore. Also the water is very deep there, thus nothing to become entangled in. Only one large rock near shore that is easy to avoid. I am very, very careful. I want to be around to still enjoy the water. Thank you for caring. *zen hug*

You know a lot more about cameras than me. Ah well, I figured it was worth a shot.

Actually, it wasn't the costumes; it was the events. THEY THROW AXES AT THINGS. And there's jousting! And people whacking each other silly with rattan swords! And at the next event, there should be even more cultural stuff, like music and arts and sciences. It was just cool. Here's the info for Warren War. I talked to quert last night and she will discuss it with The Derek, but would only be day-tripping since she has to work the next day. Hopefully they'll make it, but it's a long ways for them to go for a day trip, so I understand if they don't.

Where are you swimming at? Not that I would swim myself (I'm not that good and I've got the chest thing to deal with,) but it might be nice to dip my feet in there. And you know I care. I'd be distraught if anything happened to you. *zen hug*

I'm a Fire and associate more with Water. Probably something to do with balance. Perhaps you've already got enough Earth in you.

Rocks, trees, and water make the Nuin go round.
