I like how realistic this is. That at thirty-five they would hate each other most days. And when you think about fourteen-year-olds making out you wince, but in all truth I can remember being ten and having a boy I wanted to make out with.

To be entirely truthful, I haven't read the latest volume. I'm afraid I'm more in it for the fandom than for the actual canon - I love the series' fun, cute, lovable mood, but my god did the fanfic win me over.

This is brilliant!!! I love all the little bits and pieces, and the beautiful, dream-like feeling of everything, the steampunk with out too much steampunkish (does that even make sense >.<). Also, your characterization, especially of Arthur, is one of the best I've read in this fandom.

and aren't you the writer of that DW crossover at aph_minibang too? I'd say that fic shoud be posted to the main comm/somewhere else, more people must read that gem ^^

I've been craving so long for Steampunk!FrUK. As far as I'm concerned, there has never been anything longer than one-shots written (except an on-going one in the kinkmeme, but sadly has not been updated for a while) how come USUK has one that long and FrUK doesn't

Yep yep, so have I. It's an amazing setting and they fit it so well. I've pretty much got their whole lives all planned out in this 'verse, so it's really all a question of coming round to write it - I'm thinking of mucking about a bit with different styles and added-in photographs, which should be fun.

Prolly just because USUK has more fans, and therefore more writers, ehh. I'm not too sorry - it gives me leave to elaborate on this shiny new AU the way I want to, without feeling like I might be stealing from others. and yeah, okay, maybe metallic_sweet's stuff inspired me anyway
