Who keeps score, anyway? That involves counting.

My only hope with this writer's strike is that shows like Sports Center will also be affected, and all the disciples of such shows will wander the streets not knowing what to do.

And I'm not talking about a plug and chug math equation anybody can cookbook as long as they know x isn't a number, but it represents a number.

I'm talking about the presentation of facts.
This is the main problem affecting the world today, in my warped perception.

People believe anything, from Scientology, to non-traditional medicine, to conspiracy theories.

They do this without thinking about the grand scheme of things. Just hear something and believe it. Don't look into why they believe it.

Sports fans are another group of people. Maybe they're the result rather than the cause, but I've heard a few times recently that the Red Sox are a 'good ball team'.

They've won 3 series in the last 100 years. No. They're not. They may be becoming one, but they're not.
