Irrelevant to the art ((why'd I say "fanart"? lol I fail. ilu edit button)), but UGH that news makes me beyond angry. Why would just just cancel the prom instead of shutting up and letting two girls go as dates, and let the girl wear a damn tux? It's not like prom in itself is exactly a "romantic" event anyway. It's more about grinding with anyone and everyone on the dance floor than it is actual dating. Not to mention, though this isn't the case with this incident, you CAN go to prom with a "date" that you're not actually dating. Hell, I did that both at my own school's semiformal (with a guy friend), and at my friends' prom that I got invited to (formally my "date" was a female ex-friend as far as the paperwork went, but it was really just a group of four girls going as friends). So why make such an enormous fuss over this? Also lol last I checked we didn't have the "pants are for men; women have to wear skirts and dresses" thing in our society anymore.
Ohhh, I could rant about it all day. D< The school's reaction is so amazingly immature that it's almost laughable, but the comments people are making make it anything but. Homosexuality is just poor behavior now? I don't even have the words. And I find that not letting her wear a tux to the dance is offensive to women in general. As long as it's decent, it's not the school's place to decide how she presents herself. It's all just... *disgusted*
