Inquiry: Numb3rs Fan Videos Community
(Spiked, I wasn't sure where to post this so if it doesn't belong here, feel free to delete.)
The past year and a half, I've discovered the joy of making Numb3rs fan videos. Judging by the quantity of N3 vids on YouTube, I'm sure I'm not the only one.
But it seems like there hasn't been much promotion of these videos here on LJ or elsewhere for that matter. It also seems like the number of videos being made has declined (this fact becomes fairly obvious, in particular, when the numb3rs_awards roll around.)
I know that there is a community for N3 vids @ numb3rs_fanvids but this community hasn't been updated by the mod since 2005. The community hasn't been updated to even include Season 2 - 6 characters in the interests. I've tried contacting the mod, to no avail. The mod hasn't even updated his/her personal LJ since 2005. (If you know how to contact the mod at numb3rs_fanvids other than LJ private message, I'd love to know. I don't want to be a jackass who doesn't make every effort to communicate with this person before proceeding.)
I would like to see a little more activity where N3 videos are concerned; perhaps with a community that offers challenges, hosts recommendations, and has organized tags and memories for easier searching. I am considering starting a new Fan Vid community and I wanted to ask some other N3 fans and LJ-ers what your thoughts are on the idea. If you think it is a good idea, I'll proceed. If you think it's a waste of time, I'll bury this way down deep inside and never bring it up again. :)
