Watchmen is famous for having done things that only comics can truly pull off, as opposed to film or literature, so saying that it works better on the screen and comparing it to Dark Knight are really just indicative of a critical bias toward film over comics. Fair enough though, because Moore hates film. It's worth noting that the Frank Miller-era Batman stories, the gothy fodder for Dark Night and Batman Begins, were only possible in the post-Watchmen era of hero comics. It really changed the landscape for the industry, but the film being released some 20 years later, that impact has already made it into other comics' movies. I'm sure I come off as a pretentious comic dweeb for having given you a history lesson, but the review came off as a bit misinformed.

Just sayin'.

Then thank heavens I didn't post a review of The Clone Wars...I never would have heard the end of it.

Oh jeez. Can we pretend the movie didn't happen? Because the tv show is actually quite good.
