I've had a couple times where i didn't think Issues (my cat) was coming home, but she's always come home eventually.

...even if i had to find her and help her remember where home is once or twice.

I think if they were reacting to the leaflet, they would have probably called themselves, whether they were interested in the reward or not. Plus, I really don't see them shooing him out in the wee hours.

He actually has a slight graze on one paw, so there's a possibility of the "curled up in a bush licking his wounds" scenario, but it's a pretty pathetic wound.
