Build higher walls around me. Change every lock and key. My heart's far, far away. Home and free.

I visited Kutztown on Monday...it went really well. They have a beautiful campus down there. They also have a very good art education program...but the idea of college depresses me. I'm not ready. I'm just not. I have no idea what I want to do with my life...in fact I'm downright confused about a lot of things. I don't know what I want my career to ( Read more... )

hey BUCKO (haha... laugh at that now *pauses for laughing time* ..... ok and continue reading)

Cheer up, kid. Just remember - you have to go where they have what you want, even if it's across the UNIVERSE. Your real friends will be here (or, equally far from home), and they'll always stay in contact. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "alla my high school friends sucked... I got rid of them ASAP, and I made even more friends at college, who I ditched even faster." So.. just remember that.

Plus, Kutztown is SUCH a funny name. It's not "cuts" town, but it isn't "coots" town either... it's a mix, like "ca-uhts" town, only you have to say "ca-uhts" really fast.

Ok well... I have to go and do something productive... LIKE FUCKIN NEOPETS. YEAH, BITCH, I"M GONNA PLAY ON NEOPETS. So I'll catch ya later, boss.

I'm pretty much in the same boat and I've been thinking about the same thing quite a bit. Like I keep thinking, 1 more year till I graduate and I have no fucking idea what I'm going to do. I don't know if my grades are good enough to get into college, don't know if I can afford it, and if I can get in.. What the hell am I going to do? It's a tough one. It's pretty much stating out your whole life. Unless you major in something for all those years, and then decide you don't want to do it or something. It's scary :(

It's really not as big a deal as you are making it out to be. The first two years of college are mostly general credits anyway, that you will have to take regardless of your major. You have the choice of entering Undecided (or Common Curriculum), and that way you can take all the courses you would take for a major (if you wish, or classes for a possible major if you are confused like I was), only you have no obligations except your G.E. (General Education credits, i.e. Public Speaking, College Writing, etc.) You can actually take anything you want...it goes your way, but you are responsible for taking the courses that are necessary for your particular major. An up side to this, that is, having an undeclared major, is that you can make a kick ass schedule, get annoying classes like Public Speaking out of the way, and then make a kick ass schedule for your second semester. You might be able to give yourself Friday off, for example. However, that is rare for the first semester. You can remain Undeclared for a certain period of time, ( ... )

I'm not really worried anymore...however, my schedule will be completely different as an art major.
