Actually it was only recently I got it upgraded to where I could talk to you and Spike. You don't have to choose your words so carefully with me; I know what you guys are. Sort of. Ichi-nii told me some stuff last year, after I saw him fly out a window dressed in a kendo uniform, about a place called Soul Society. He said he was doing something really important there, with you and Spike and a bunch of other Shinigami.

i want to know what it is, but he's so worried about protecting me he never tells me the whole story. I hoped you might help me out.

I thought you might know. I never brought it up when I've seen you in person because I didn't feel it was my place, but you're nearly as old as Ichigo was when he got involved with us. You probably have a right to know more.

I can't go behind your brother's back to tell you more than he's comfortable with, but I can promise that he's doing his best to help us here in Soul Society. It's just a slower process than any of us would like.

Aw man, you really can't tell me anything? Okay, I guess I can't ask you to be sneaky like that, but would you tell him to talk to me about it? Whatever's going on is obviously somehow connected to all the weird stuff that's been happening around here--I can feel lots of strange energy coming from old Karakura. This involves me too, whether Ichi-nii likes it or not.
